Coal-based granular activated carbon is made of high-quality anthracite and is refined and activated using advanced technology. It has the appearance of black amorphous particles. It has the advantages of developed pore structure, large specific area, strong adsorption capacity, high mechanical strength, small bed resistance, good chemical stability, easy regeneration, and durability.
Coal-based crushed activated carbon has high strength, well-developed pores, large specific surface area, and especially large micropore volume, which is unique. Coal-based activated carbon has a strong adsorption capacity for organic matter, free chlorine in various waters, and harmful gases in the air. It is an excellent adsorbent for deep purification of urban drinking water, and is used to remove bacteria and toxic gas components in the air.
Coal-based briquette charcoal is made by first grinding the carbonized material into powder, then bonding, shaping, activating and crushing it.

Wooden activated carbon shall comply with GB/T13803.2-2015, GB/T12496-1999, and coal-based activated carbon shall comply with GB/T7702-2008.
Or the standards may refer to ASTM standard for activated carbon & AWWA standard for activated carbon, etc.
